JACK HOLLAND

I initially studied a foundation degree in sport and exercise science before completing my bachelor’s degree in sports therapy.

Following this, I worked in the NHS in pulmonary rehabilitation for one year before moving to a role in outpatient physiotherapy where I worked as a rehabilitation therapist, and then a senior musculoskeletal clinician over a three-year period.

At this point, I decided I would pursue my aspirations of becoming a physiotherapist, so I went back to University to obtain my Master’s degree.

I now work as a chartered physiotherapist in the NHS in musculoskeletal outpatients. I hold an intermediate trauma medical management in football qualification and over the past 6 years have worked in professional academy football with clubs such as West Ham United F.C, and more recently, Tottenham Hotspurs F.C.

I am also a qualified personal trainer, massage therapist, sports coach, and am accredited in providing shockwave therapy.

The thing I love most about working in physiotherapy is the diversity of the profession. I enjoy being able to work with so many different people from all walks of life and of all ages, in a variety of settings, supporting them with their health and lifestyle goals.

The thing I enjoy most about working at Wickford Physiotherapy is being able to work outside of the confines of the NHS where I have more flexibility to work with clients on a much more personal level.
